Boost is a new ministry being implemented through Servant Connection. The idea of Boost is "a hand up, not a handout." I've been thinking about this ministry for years. Boost will help people who are trying to get to the next level, whether it be in getting off government assistance, gaining an education, or even moving into a season of philanthropy. In this first phase of Boost, the role of Servant Connection will be to award scholarships to Financial Peace University, the excellent program established by Dave Ramsey which has helped thousands achieve financial peace through the implementation of simple, practical steps learned in the 13-week course. Financial Peace University is offered in hundreds of venues (many of them churches) across the country. The usual cost is around $100.
In this first year of Boost, the goal of Servant Connection is to award ten Financial Peace University scholarships to individuals selected by the Servant Connection Board of Directors.
